Solutions Engineer

Senior Electronics Engineer

This role will be responsible for carrying out design and development activities on Equivital hardware products through the product lifecycle. This includes updates to existing products and new platform/ products from our exciting roadmap. You will bring experience, closely coupled with a passion for technology and drive to get things done. 

Your main responsibilities, alongside others, will be:

  • Continuous improvement and maintenance of existing products.
  • New platform selection/supplier evaluation, working with the firmware lead to assess the specifications, development boards and tooling.
  • Product design - working closely with mechanical and manufacturing to obtain a robust design that goes through the proto run-to-manufacturing process with minimal changes.
  • Drive early concepts and development boards to support design changes, as well as platform choices.
  • Lead board bring-up and validation, working with external resources when needed.
  • Lead all certification activates, in conjunction with project management.

Software System Test and Automation Lead

This role will be responsible for product quality, specifically system test coverage, test-set creation, including an automation suite that provides the appropriate level of regression testing and also forms a key part of the continuous integration system.

You will be working on Equivital’s web applications, frameworks and services, as well as the sensors that connect to them. The system includes HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Angular JS, C#, ASP.NET MVC, embedded device and sensor technologies.

Your main responsibilities, alongside others, will be:

  • Plan and ensure there is sufficient system test coverage.
  • Validation and verification of products and product features across the system, ensuring that they meet specifications.
  • Creation and maintenance of automated test suites, using the appropriate framework and script to do the job.
  • Own the test-set creating frameworks.
  • Integrate the automation suite with into the CI process.
  • Working as a key part of the development team, driving towards a world class development organisation and process, together with the product owner and SW development lead.

Senior Web Developer

As Web UI Developer you will be responsible for working as part of a team to deliver agreed requirements.  You will be working mainly on Equivital web applications, frameworks and services.  You will have strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and AngularJS and a have a proven track record/have a portfolio in UI development.  You will ideally also have experience of working in C# and ASP.NET MVC technologies for the .NET framework and be able to implement user stories from conception to completion across multiple application tiers (ASP.NET MVC Backend / AngularJS Front-End).  You may get the opportunity to work on Equivital mobile and desktop applications, depending on experience.

You will be responsible for carrying out your work within a quality framework and CI system, including peer code reviews and performing unit tests. You will use your technical skills and creativity to ensure that the systems that you develop are fit for present and anticipated future needs and are innovative where necessary.

Business Development Manager: Head of Sales – Clinical Research

This key role will see you raise awareness of, and sell Equivital TnR (Training and Research) hardware and software products to the clinical research market.  This includes academic and institutional research partners, exercise and sports professionals, clinical research organisations, pharmaceutical companies, and other relevant potential users.  It will also include building a team to scale this area of the business as necessary.

You will be in complete control of your sales funnel, by engaging with prospective partners via multiple channels, meeting decision-makers, demonstrating products (in person and remotely) and closing sales.

The role will mean interfacing with both end customers and distributors/partners such that national and international travel will be required.

Whilst there are management responsibilities, this role is a hands on role so will also entail undertaking a large proportion of sales related activities yourself from initiating customer contact, to quoting and closing sales.

Quality Manager

The Quality Manager is responsible for, owns and drives quality management for the Equivital. Incorporating the full product lifecycle and business processes, the Quality Manager leads from the front instilling quality throughout the team. Working closely with the engineering, product and outsourced manufacturing teams, the Quality Manager will ensure quality is intrinsic at every stage, using quality principles and tools to develop and optimize systems, product designs and manufacturing processes. You will independently determine and develop approaches to solutions and work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of indentifiable factors and develop solutions for the same.
